Composed of individuals from different colleges of UP Diliman, ALYANSA Circle of Individuals serves as the formation’s Volunteer Corps in the promotion of its four pillars/principles: Progressive multi-perspective activism, Academic excellence, Student empowerment and Social justice and social progress. Bilang tugon sa panawagang magtaguyod ng alternatibong aktibismo sa pamantasan, isang aktibismong di nakasalig sa prehistoriko’t dogmatikong ideolohiya, at kinikilala ang pagkakaiba-iba ng bawat isa sa paniniwala at pagkilos, unang itinatag ang AKBAYAN YOUTH UP Diliman noong 1998. Simula noon hanggang sa kasalukuyan, patuloy ito sa pagtataguyod ng demokrasya, pagkakapantay-pantay, pagkamakatao, internasyonalismo at progresibong multi-perspektibong aktibismo.
The Alliance for Responsive Involvement and Student Empowerment (ARISE ENG’G) was formed in 1996 by a group of student leaders from the UP College of Engineering. ARISE ENG’G was initially formed as a response to what they felt was a need for more proactive and responsive leadership in the College. Since then, ARISE ENG’G has been training student leaders to serve in the UP Engineering Student Council. Today, ARISE ENG’G is a dynamic organization whose mission is the development of able and responsible student leaders with a focus on rendering service to their college, their university, and their country. ARISE ENG’G’s core values are Integrity, Vision, Service, and Excellence.
Ang BUKLOD CSSP ang kinikilalang pangunahing pormasyon ng paglilingkod at pamumuno sa UP College of Social Sciences and Philosophy (CSSP). Simula 1992, walang humpay na pinagkatiwalaan ng mga mag-aaral ang paglilingkod at pamumuno ng pormasyon sa CSSP Student Council. Binubuo ang pangkalahatang haligi ng bisyon-misyon ng BUKLOD CSSP ng KAPP: Kampanyang Progresibo, Aktibidad na Makabuluhan, Paglilingkod bilang Oryentasyon at Panlipunang Kamalayan. Samantala, binubuo naman ang pangkalahatang panininindigan ng BUKLOD CSSP ng KAPP: Kapangyarihan ng Mag-aaral, Akademikong Kagalingan, Panlipunang Katwiran at Panlipunang Kaunlaran at Progresibong Multi-Perspektibong Aktibismo na kaugnay ng pangkalahatang paninindigan ng ALYANSA. Binubuo ang BUKLOD CSSP ng Buklod CSSP Sirkulo ng mga Kasaping Indibidwal, UP Bukluran sa Sikolohiyang Pilipino (UP BUKLOD-ISIP), UP Kalipunan para sa Agham Panlipunan at Pilosopiyang Pilipino (UP KAPPP) at UP Lipunang Pangkasaysayan (UP LIKAS).
Established in 2003 to provide a venue for students to serve the institute, university and society, Strength in AIT (STRAIT) continues to be the leading leadership and service formation in the UP Asian Institute of Tourism (AIT). Since its inception, the formation has provided leadership and service to the AIT Student Council.
Guided by the principles of Unity, Consciousness and Action, UP Economics Towards Consciousness (UP ETC) was formally constituted on 10 February 1979. UP ETC is the only academic-political organization in the UP School of Economics and has a significant vision for the students of the school. For 27 years, UP ETC continues to be more passionate, more powerful, and even more critical than ever. It has continued to dream, to think in structures, to assert with wisdom, and to act with relevance; all for the hope of initiating social change.
The UP Library and Information Science Students’ Association (UP LISSA) was established in 1962 as the ILIS Student Council and the sole institute-based student organization. In 2002, it was reorganized as an academic organization separate from the ILIS Student Council with the objectives of fostering camaraderie and unity among members, promoting scholastic and socio-cultural development of its members and providing opportunities for members to lead and serve the institute, university and nation. Since its early years, UP LISSA has produced among the country’s best librarians and information managers and specialists.
Tao. Teatro. Pagbabago. Ito ang mga adhikaing isinusulong ng UP Sirkulo ng mga Kabataang Artista (UP SIKAT) na binuo upang mailapit ang teatro sa mas nakararaming mga tao. Binuo noong 2003 bilang pinakabagong grupong panteatro, naging tapat ang UP SIKAT sa mga layunin nito sa pamamagitan ng pagsusulong ng mga gawaing makatutulong sa paglinang ng mga kakayahan ng bawat indibidwal at pagsusulong ng progresibong multi-perspektibong aktibismo sa larangan ng sining panteatro.
